Elephant Birthday. ColorQ #181

This below is the inside.

There were so many challenges this week and I just wanted to play all of them.  This card was inspired by the ColorQ #181 challenge.  You can see other great cards inspired by this great color combo at   ColorQ #181

My Daffodil Delight ink pad and marker is ugly it's like a dirty yellow but the paper is pretty so I wonder if there was a bad batch of ink.  Anyways I ended up using my copic markers Garden yellow y17 and lemon yellow y13.  The Elephant image had  to be separated from the background.  It  just didn't flow right laying right on top .

The stamp set is from Michael's brand Recollections "Elephant Flower".  I adjusted the image a little, omitting the umbrella the elephant was holding. The elephant alone is big enough and keeping the umbrella what have made it harder to fit on the card.  The birthday medallion is from Stampin' Up's Hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes.

Peep Easter Bunnies

Once again I get to play along with The Paper Players Challenge #137.

The colors were pretty much chosen for me since these are the colors of the marshmallow candy.  I had to dress the tag up a bit it just looked to white.  I know it's a bit simple but this is a Clean and Simple challenge.

And Here is a look at the Challenge
and a

Hoppy Easter with Lili of the Valley

Hello all!  I feel like I've been away for so long but really it's only been 2 weeks.   And Although I haven't posted in those two weeks I have been playing in the craft room.

I never order anything from other countries but someone posted their card on SplitcoastStampers and I immediately feel in love with the stamp.

So today we have a couple of cards using a Lili of the Valley stamp entitled Hoppy Easter.  I just love the image and you should visit their site for other great stamps.  Since I only used a part of the image I wanted to make sure you knew what the whole image was.

I love the honey comb embossing folders and now have four different sizes. I used Cuttlebug's bonus strip for the top in white and the bling bling is little circles of Glimmer paper I punched and glued in. The pink is  Stampin' Up's Argyle Textured Embossing Folder.

Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

OK so now on to the next.  I used the same part of the image here too.

The above was taken with out a flash so you can't really notice the shimmer of the card.

I really wanted the wrapper to look like a real foil wrapper so after coloring the egg I went over it with a Sakura Clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen and for the rest of the card I sprayed on some homemade shimmer mist.  Oh, I should mention the pink paper is shimmer paper.

Well thanks for visiting!

My Favorite Peep!

I love the dollar spot at Michael's and Joann's.  A couple of years ago I bought a peep die from Archiver's.  This year Joann's had some Studio G Easter Stamps and this verse was a perfect match for my Peeps die.

I don't know if I ever mentioned how much I love  Glimmer paper.  Michael's carries it for 2 bucks a sheet.  That green grass use to be silver.  Just throw on some Sharpie or Bic permanent markers on it and Voila a new color.  Although my copics would work as well I don't know how hard the paper would be on the nibs so I refrain from using my copic markers for this task.  I used double sided adhesive for the peep die and covered with glitter.  This was meant for a sketch challenge but I didn't link it in time.  The sketch had the dots on every corner... but I could have done with out them.
