So as promised I was working with some Dollar stamps I've been collecting. The spooky cat is from Studio G and the words backgroubd is Stampendous' Autumn Words.  The purple paper started off as regular white carstock and I went in and blended ink directly to the paper.  The words are heat embossed with a sort of sparkly orange, red and yellow embossing powder. And I green stickled the cat's eyes

Next is a spiderweb stamp from Imaginisce from a few years ago.  And the Spooky is inkadinkdo.  Both bought for a dollar.   I used a spider web embossing folder from hobby lobby their own brand Paper Studios.  I will say I'll probably still purchase Stampin Up's version.  The Paper Studio ones are not straight.  They can be kind of bowed and then it warps the paper too.

I realize this is a pretty simple card.  I really wanted to spruce it up a bit but I seem to have packed my Halloween ribbon away and now I can't find it.   In one version I tried adding glow n the dark paint to the Pumpkins and the ghost and skeleton but the paper just sucked it up and it didn't really glow at all.  Theese are Inkadinkdo clear stamps, found them at Michael's.

Well that's it for today.

Well I wasn’t done playing yet…  It’s been a while since I broke out the Twinkling H2o’s.  Remember that scare when we thought Luminarte was going out of business?  I bought a bunch of little jars.  I think that was about two years ago.  Then they just sat in a drawer.  I keep telling myself that I want to use them and I finally did.  I started with black cardstock because I didn’t want to have to snip the image out.   Then the bleaching method but the bleached area didn’t get light enough.  This would not have been a problem for most of the h20’s I was only worried that the flesh color would not come out right.  I abandoned the bleached image for now even though it has lots of potential still.

I embossed the image again in black on white cardstock.  I like embossing my image when working with H2o’s because it helps me stay in the lines and I need all the help I can get with this.  Well I have lots of Halloween dollar stamps to use.  I wonder what I'll come up with next.

Pics taken with HTC Rezound.
Maybe I should think about setting up a photo booth or something.

Stampendous Kitty Candy Kiddo

Stampendous' Kitty Candy Kiddo Stamp

Ok, where to begin...  Here is the first card I have ever posted on any blog. Thanks to Archiver's 43% off coupon I was able to score this cute Halloween stamp for about $4.00.  I'm a beginner with copics and I don't know how to shade or figure in lighting yet. I did not have a purple to match my background paper (from Hobby Lobby) and a sharpie was as close as I could get.  So I guess I'll need to visit Michael's or Hobby Lobby with a 40% off for a better purple match. I'm not real handy with scissors so it took forever to cut the image out but worth it.

Well thanks for stopping by.

Brrr the water is cold.

An Introduction I Suppose.

Hello to all. My name is Alanna. Friends and family call me Lanna, Lannie and my favorite (truly is) AlannieDawn. It took me hours of trying to be clever and coming up with a name for my blog. I almost called it "Call it What?" or "Slap a name on it!". But in the end, or should I say the beginning, I went with AlannieDawning.

This is my first time blogging. I once started a different blog almost two years ago but the only post I did was an explanation of it being under construction. So it doesn't count and I consider this my first.

I am behind the times with all this Social Media stuff and so I thought I should get my feet wet. Brr the water is cold.
